Fire Audit Pro is a fire and life safety audit app from Siya Habitats Pvt. Ltd., the technology and services division of IFE, Nagpur. It gives the auditor the code-cited checklist for the building being audited, works on site without mobile signal, and turns the findings into the audit report. It works to NBC 2016, NBCS 2026 and the binding Maharashtra rules.
An auditor on a 20-storey site often has no signal, and the checklist that applies is different for every building. The usual answer is a paper pro-forma and a week of retyping. Every retyped line is another chance to lose a measurement, a photo reference or a clause.
For buildings listed in section 45(1) of the Maharashtra Fire Prevention and Life Safety Measures Act, section 45A(1) requires a fire and life safety audit by a licensed Fire and Life Safety Auditor once in every two years. Separately, every building needs a Form B certificate from a Licensed Agency each January and July. Audits are now a routine part of owning a large building, which makes the quality and speed of each audit matter more than ever.
It gives the auditor the checklist for that building, worked out from the code, so an auditor never sees a question that cannot apply to it. Every check carries the clause or table it comes from. Before the walk starts, the auditor can see the key requirements for the building:
Where the code does not allow a value at all, the app says so plainly, rather than leaving the auditor to guess.
It is offline-first: it works on site without mobile signal. A finding is captured where it is seen. The auditor marks the result, sets the risk, notes the location, measures against the limit, photographs it and writes the corrective action, even with no signal on the 14th floor. The report is produced from the same findings, with every deficiency, clause and corrective action, so nothing is retyped between the site and the report.
Factories need more than a building audit. For factory, storage and hazardous occupancies, Fire Audit Pro adds how the work inside is controlled, with each check citing its clause of IS 14489:2018. That covers:
A clear list of what to fix. The audit lists every gap against its clause and produces the report that tells the owner exactly what to correct, so the building is NOC-worthy before the fire NOC. Because each finding carries its clause, the owner, the auditor and the fire officer are all reading from the same rule.
IFEM offers a Post Graduate Vocational Diploma in Fire and Life Safety Audit (PGVDFLSA), and its NBC-Audit Pathway closes each module with a live case: evidence collection, non-conformance grading and corrective action. Fire Audit Pro follows the same discipline in software. Every finding is tied to a clause, graded for risk and given a corrective action.
