The UGC Graduate Skills Index found that only 42.6 percent of traditional graduates are considered employable. A degree that teaches theory alone is a slow route to nowhere.
BVFS is built the other way. Across three years and 120 credits you cover fire chemistry and dynamics, building construction and fire behaviour, detection and suppression systems, fire investigation fundamentals, and NBC 2016 compliance, with the majority of every semester spent applying it rather than reading it.
Year one exits with a Diploma. Year two with an Advanced Diploma. Year three with the full B.Voc, treated at par with any conventional bachelor's degree for UPSC, SSC, state PSC and private hiring. Credits sit in the Academic Bank of Credits and never expire.
Graduates who continue to PGVD or M.Voc move into HSE Manager, Safety Consultancy, and audit authority roles.
Every semester includes scheduled live fire exercises on a real drill ground, not a video. Extinguisher handling, hydrant operation, foam deployment, rescue drill, evacuation management and breathing-apparatus drill, in squads under IFE faculty who served as fire marshals at the Formula 1 Indian Grand Prix.
Classroom theory exists to explain what happens on the drill ground. Not the other way round.
