Terms and Conditions

The terms on which we provide this website and our programmes.

Last updated: 7 September 2026

These terms apply to your use of the website ifem.in and to enrolment on programmes delivered by the Institute of Fire Engineering and Management, Nagpur ("IFEM", "we", "us"). By using this website or applying for a programme, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

Who we are

IFEM is a vocational-degree college in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. It is backed by the Institute of Fire Engineering (IFE), Nagpur, which was formally registered in 2001, and it operates as a unit of the Indian Council for Technology Development (ICTD). IFEM delivers its vocational degrees as Industrial Academic Training Partner (IATP) with International University Nagaland (IUN).

Campus: 437/A/201, Makardhokada, Katol Road, Nagpur 440013, Maharashtra, India.
Registered office: "Siya House", 62 Prerana Nagar, Katol Road, Nagpur 440013.

Programmes and eligibility

Programme details published on this site, including duration, NSQF level and eligibility, describe our programmes as offered at the time of publication. Eligibility for each programme is stated on its page. Admission is confirmed only after your application has been assessed and you have received a written confirmation from the admissions team. Submitting an enquiry or an application form does not by itself create a place on a programme.

Where a programme offers admission through Recognition of Prior Learning, entry depends on assessment of your documented experience against the standard of the qualification. Meeting the age and experience criteria makes you eligible to be assessed. It does not guarantee admission.

Fees

Fees vary by programme, entry route and payment plan, and are confirmed to you individually by an admissions counsellor before you enrol. Fees are not published on this website. The fee confirmed to you in writing at the point of admission is the fee that applies. Any instalment arrangement is set out in that same confirmation.

Awards and recognition

Vocational degrees are awarded with International University Nagaland under the Industrial Academic Training Partner arrangement. Programmes are accredited on the National Skills Qualifications Framework at the level stated on each programme page. IFEM is not accredited by the University Grants Commission and does not describe itself as such. Separately, the UGC has issued a circular confirming that B.Voc degrees are at par with conventional bachelor's degrees, which is why our B.Voc degrees are described as UGC-equivalent.

Credentials described on this site as belonging to the Institute of Fire Engineering, including its work at the Formula 1 Indian Grand Prix between 2012 and 2014, belong to IFE and are presented as the institutional backing behind IFEM.
