After a fire, someone has to establish what happened. Insurers need it, regulators need it, and courts need it. That work requires fire science, not fire procedure.
PGVDFS covers fire chemistry and dynamics, combustion behaviour, fire load and spread analysis, detection and suppression technology, investigation methodology and evidence handling, grounded in NBC 2016 Part 4, IS Codes, TAC guidelines and NFPA references.
One year, 40 credits, with a practical component and an industry project. Built for graduates who need the specialism quickly, and for working officers who qualify through RPL.
Every module closes on a live case: a real occupancy, a real fire load, a real technical question. Students run the analysis and write a finding they must defend, using the same method IFE applies in its consultancy practice.
By the end of the year a graduate has worked through more technical fire cases than most officers see in several years on the floor.
